Hi I’m Bronwyn! I’m an E-RYT 200 yoga instructor, entrepreneur, podcaster, speaker, TV and live event host, and columnist. I’ve had the opportunity to help thousands in the past twenty-years in their yoga practice as well as guiding others to overall health and wellness. My yoga journey commenced following physical therapy from a foot injury. The physical therapist recommended yoga and suggested the practice would help restore strength, physical balance, and confidence in me. It wasn’t long after I started practicing that I was enamored and passionate about the practice. Health and fitness is a high priority and essential for my life. “Yoga provides me freedom internally and externally and has facilitated several beautiful adventures and opportunities in the recent years.” Also, the breathing techniques utilized in yoga assisted in facilitating with my recovery while battling an upper-respiratory disease for more than a year and half, Valley Fever, often a fatal disease. I am grateful to be a VF SURVIVOR!
I began my entrepreneurial journey in 2013. Opening the doors to Evolve Yoga has been a blessing, not only for myself and my daughters, but a way to share yoga with my community. I’ve expanded my entrepreneurial endeavors and created two online programs. I’m recognized by Women’s Health Magazine as an Action Hero, four consecutive years, and was selected along with other women Nationally who are fitfluencers, innovative, community oriented, trendsetters, and who posses a passion for wellness. I’m in my second term as a lululemon Ambassador (2012-2014 & 2017-2019) inspiring my community to live a healthier life via yoga, overall wellness and balanced living. Evolve Yoga is recognized by the Huffington Post as a go-to yoga studio in the Coachella Valley. Palm Springs Life Magazine selected Evolve Yoga, “Best of the Best” yoga studios, 2016 & 2018. Evolve Yoga also received the “Best Yoga Studio” by Coachella Valley Weekly newspaper, 2015.
I attended Arizona State University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the prestigious Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. As a former news anchor and reporter, interviews include celebrities, politicians, professional athletes, my favorite interviews, everyday people like you and me.
I remain passionate about my television career, it’s likely you’ll see me hosting a TV wellness program, hosting, moderating, speaking or emceeing an event. For the past six years, I write a weekly health and wellness column and you can read my blogs in CV Weekly and on the Evolve Yoga website.
I’m passionate about helping others and living a healthy lifestyle. My desire is to connect and inspire others and help them achieve overall health and balanced living.

Susan began her yoga practice 30-years ago as a means to alleviate pain from her professional sports and dance life-style. Susan was a member of Canada’s National Lightweight women’s rowing team from 1982-85. As a RYT-500 Yoga teacher her strength as a teacher derives from a commitment to practice daily. Susan’s classes are a blend of mindful movements that link breath, body and mind. Her goal for you is to develop strength, flexibility, balance, brain integration and awareness to each moment. Beyond physical exercise the practice is a process of blending the mind, body and the breath; pausing or turning off the minds “automatic pilot”. Hence creating a connection to ease into stillness, or an opening of the heart to one’s deeper intentions and to core values. Her hope is to create an environment where students can meet each moment with kindness, joy, integrity, respect and gratitude. Students should expect to feel invigorated, relaxed and aligned.
Susan has studied and practiced with wonderful teachers both in Vancouver, the U.S. and Europe. She is also blessed and inspired by her many students. She teaches classes of yoga and mindfulness at schools, corporations and colleges to seniors, teens and adults of all ages and abilities. She also maintains a private practice of yoga therapy, and yoga massage. She is experienced with resolving and supporting individuals who have or are facing life challenges, such as cancer, PTSD, anxiety, grief, arthritis and attention difficulties.
She completed additional certification training from Spirit Rock Meditation Centers Mindful Meditation and Yoga Training Program in 2012
Currently she is in her 2nd year of completing a Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies in SF.
Susan feels great fortune to be a recent resident to Palm Desert. Her greatest teacher at the moment is her 11 year old daughter, who keeps her busy and in the ongoing practice of loving kindness, patience, gratitude and curiosity.
Karla was born in Mexico City. She moved with her family to the United States in 2001 and Karla’s yoga journey began during her senior year of high school. She discovered that it was a peaceful practice and decided to become a yoga instructor in her late twenties. Karla’s classes have the intention that connects both to the individual and to the earth. She has also studied restorative yoga at Desert Yoga Therapy. Aside from yoga, she also enjoys painting. Merging yoga and art have resulted in beautiful creations based on love, compassion, and respect for Mother Earth.
Shawn is a Certified Basi Pilates instructor. Shawn first began practicing Pilates after sustaining a lower back injury more than 20 years ago. In addition to rehabilitating her injury, she credits Pilates for her increased core strength and improved posture. Shawn holds a Comprehensive Pilates Certificate through Body Arts and Science International (BASI) in Costa Mesa, CA, and continues her advanced education through BASI. She was part of the first Apprenticeship Program with BASI under the guidance of world-renowned practitioner and Teacher of Pilates, Rael Isacowitz and Senior Faculty member, Jennifer Pearlstein. Shawn’s advanced education through BASI includes, Pilates for the Mature Client, Pilates for Enhancing Athletic Performance, Pilates with Props and Variations, The Art of Cueing, BoneSmart Pilates for Osteoporosis, Pilates Mat with the Fit Ball and Pilates for the Overweight Client.
Shawn places particular emphasis on honoring her clients’ awareness and efficiency of motion. In her classes and private sessions, she applies the 10 Principles of Pilates to help each person accomplish their health and wellness goal
Born in Minsk, Belarus and raised in NYC, I have stumbled upon yoga in my early twenties. As a student of graduate school, amidst busy streets of Manhattan, where it’s hard to catch your breath at times, I turned to yoga for guidance. To me, yoga became a practice of self-transformation in cultivating wellness, self-discovery and clearer awareness. Eventually, my travels led me to Bali, where I completed my 200-hour certification in Hatha Yoga. Today, I continue my work as a Speech Language Pathologist and enjoy raising my son. I am thrilled and humbled to be able to guide others to get in touch with their inner teacher through practice of yoga.
The ability to teach yoga has been my largest gift. I teach primarily vinyasa, yin, and thrive working with beginners. I have an in depth understanding of structural anatomy which I acquired after spending two amazing years in a chiropractic program. My goal is to lead classes that are a safe space to explore, transform, connect and sweat. My sole intention when I teach is to empower each of my students. My passion as a teacher is fueled by my desire to help others grow, both physically and energetically, while having fun and letting go of anything that no longer serves them.
I have been fortunate enough to teach in 8 different countries including Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Scotland, England, South Africa, and the US. I have been employed at the University of Hawai’i, the University of Edinburgh, Matrix Fitness in Palm Desert, and various other independently owned studios. In every class I teach I bring a balance of traditional vinyasa flow, pranayama, meditation, and my own light-hearted flare, which incorporates dynamic movement and a reminder to smile. The wisdoms and traditions I learned while traveling are incorporated into every practice I create. In November of 2012 I completed my YTT 200 hour certification in Bali, Indonesia with the highly regarded School of Sacred Arts directed by Simone McKay.
